Terms of Service

Last updated: May 1, 2026

Trozun (“we,” “us”) is a personalized study tool for students. By signing up or using the app you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

1. This is beta software

Trozun is in active development. Things break. Features change. We'll try to give you advance notice before anything you rely on changes meaningfully, but we can't always. Don't depend on Trozun as your single source of truth for graded work — back up anything you can't afford to lose.

2. What you can do

Use Trozun to study your own coursework. Upload lectures, syllabi, textbook chapters, your own notes. Practice. Ask the tutor questions. Track your progress.

3. What you can't do

  • Upload material you don't have the right to use. If your professor's slides are licensed for class use only, that's fine — you're still using them for class. If you re-upload someone else's textbook PDF that you never paid for, you're on the hook for that.
  • Use Trozun to cheat on a graded assignment your school prohibits AI assistance on. We can't enforce this, but you'll find that the academic-integrity policy at your school binds you whether or not we're in the loop.
  • Reverse-engineer the app, scrape it, or build a competing service on top of it. Build your own — happy to chat.
  • Try to access another user's account or data.

4. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials (Google, Microsoft, or magic-link email) secure. If your account is compromised, tell us at support@trozun.xyz and we'll lock it.

5. Payments

Paid tiers are billed via Stripe. Cancel anytime from Settings — you keep access through the end of the billing period and don't get billed again. We don't store your card information directly; Stripe handles that.

Beta-code redemption gives you a paid tier free for a limited window. When the code expires, your account auto-downgrades to the free Hobby tier; we won't charge a card without your explicit checkout.

6. AI output

The tutor, coach, and study generators use Anthropic's Claude API. AI output can be wrong, outdated, or confidently misleading — especially on niche or recent material. Verify anything you're going to put in a graded answer. If you'd trust a textbook over the AI on a specific point, trust the textbook.

7. Your content stays yours

Lectures, notes, study sessions — that's your stuff. We don't sell it. We don't train AI on it. We use it to run the features you asked for (e.g. building flashcards from your lecture). See the privacy policy for the full data picture.

8. We can stop you

If you're uploading content you don't own, abusing another student, or doing anything illegal, we'll suspend or close your account. We'll tell you why and you can export your data first if it's recoverable.

9. You can stop us

You can leave anytime. From Settings → Account, schedule deletion (7-day grace period in case you change your mind). After 7 days every record we have for you is gone except anonymized aggregate metrics that don't identify you. You can also export everything as JSON before you go.

10. Liability

Trozun is provided as-is. We don't guarantee it'll be available, accurate, or that it won't lose data. If something goes wrong, our total liability to you is capped at what you've paid us in the previous twelve months (or $0 if you're on the free tier). This is the standard SaaS limit — it's here so a lawsuit can't bankrupt the project.

11. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that meaningfully affects you, we'll email you. Continuing to use Trozun after the change means you accept the new version. The latest version always lives at this URL, dated.

12. Contact
